Girls Beach Weekend Getaway Ideas

You don’t have to go to the Bahamas or even to Hawaii for beach fun when you plan girls weekend getaways to the beach. You’ll find that there are awesome beaches all across the country so even if you don’t travel very far, you and your friends can have a grand weekend at any number of great beaches that can rival some of the top beaches in Europe.

While you’ll find that hot destination spots like South Beach can be quite expensive, less popular beaches are just as much fun and if you share expenses, you can have a great time without busting your budget. It might be a good idea, though, to stay away from many of the hot beach spots during spring break. Not only will they be more crowded, but you won’t save as much money by going at such a high demand time. In fact, if what you are looking for is to get away from it all and catch up with your closest friends, the last place you want to be is anywhere crowded. Sometimes, the best vacations can actually be found in the off season. Even waiting just a couple of weeks past peak vacation time will mean less crowds and more reasonable hotel rates as well.

There are a lot of beaches in Florida that aren’t exactly hot spots but they are still wonderful beaches. Jacksonville beach can be just as fun as some of the more expensive beach destinations, especially when you are sipping cool drinks with your closest friends. Clearwater Beach near Tampa is also a great place to get away from it all and you can rent a beach house for the weekend or stay at one of the nearby hotels.

Texas has a lot of great beaches as well. Think Galveston, Port Aransas, or Padre Island. Soak in the sun, shop, and dine at one of the cafes along the beach as you catch up with your friends. Take lots of pictures and pick up some souvenirs to take back home with you so that you will always remember your trip with the girls.

Regardless of which beach you and your friends decide to go to, plan ahead and take your time in deciding where to go. Decide whether you want to rent a beach house or stay in a hotel near the beach. If you double up and share expenses, your girls weekend getaways don’t have to be expensive and you will be able to afford to do it again next year.
