This is my first post so I thought I would take a minute and say that a girlfriend getaway may be just the thing you need to do. It doesn’t matter if you are married or not, it doesn’t matter if you are young or old, and it doesn’t matter if it is just 2 or 10 of you….in the words of a country singer I cannot place right now “Guys do it all the time!” So why not you, and why not now?

This blog is going to be dedicated to giving you some useful information on where you can go for an awesome time with your friends. It is going to give you some tips on how to stay on budget, how to be safe, where to go, and how to plan your trip. I am also going to highlight some good deals as i come across them so that you can have an unforgetable girlfriend getaway!

Why would I have a blog dedicated to girlfriend getaways? Honestly because they are completely different than family vacations, which are great in thier own right. You may take a family vacation every year or couple of years, but how often do you or have you taken a friend vacation? You know, to get away from school, from kids, from your job, from your boyfriend….just for a bit, to enjoy just being a woman! If you have, I am sure you remember and would like to do again. And if you haven’t then you MUST!

So, I am doing this for the fun of it. I have a passion for travel and want to give you some ideas for making your girlfriend getaway the best it can be. AND, I believe that a getaway can also just be an overnight somewhere on the town, or a short weekend camping trip in the mountains…it doesn’t have to be an overly expensive week trip at some resort-y spa place (but that isn’t too bad either…) From Canada and Ontario travel to Mexico and Latin American destinations, across from California to New England and Florida, I will cover a vast array of places you can visit.

The idea here is to just get away and enjoy being with your friend/s. So call your friend. NOW. And start making your plans. It is something that you will never regret.
