I would check with local hotels and see what package deals they have. Even on a small budget a phone call to an actual place can do wonders to see what kind of discounts and inclusions they can give you. Another idea is to try and “increase” you funds by selling items you no longer need, odd jobs you may be able to provide, or cutting out some expenses for a couple of months (depending on when you plan to go.) When you search online, search for coupons for eating out, maybe find a hotel room that has a kitchenette so you can heat up leftovers or make small easy meals for breakfast and lunch. For partying, search the local clubs and find the times for lady’s night which is usually a pretty economical way to go out! Good luck, and above all, have fun.

Great article. My friend and i are single young parents in our twentys and were planning to take a weekend trip to downtown chicago we are already from the southwest side of the.city. We were wondering how to plan a inexpensive getaway like a nice hotel room parking spas food and partying afterward. Can u help us we have a small budget but really want to do something alone for once without the kids. What hotel to choose where are the spas what hotels have discounts. Please help
