When people thing of Las Vegas or Sin City all they think of is the casinos. Most people don’t realize how much more there is to Las Vegas. It is a tourist city which means there are many different things to do. The Strip is where the majority of the casinos are and each casino has its own unique features.
Sin City is a great mini-vacation for sisters, girlfriends, or anyone who wants an affordable vacation. If you have kids there are things for them and casinos which cater to families; while other casinos cater to adults. Sin City is a great place for a bridal shower, it offers all kinds of events other places do not. You’ll be able to dine at some of the best places.
The first thing you should do is get a players club card at every casino you enter. Many of the casinos offer things like cheap buffet prices and even a free room for a night. Casinos are a great place to eat if you are on a budget; Sam’s Town has a great buffet. There are other restaurants which are not associated with casinos. The Blueberry Hill family restaurant has great breakfasts; which is a great start to a day of shopping.
A few suggestions as to where to get a good meal and then its off to shop, see the sights, and view all the beauty of Nevada. On the Strip you’ll find many different name brand upscale stores if you and your girlfriends want to shop. Another place to visit is Ethel M Chocolate Factory. It has a nice garden area and you can tour the candy making shop. You’ll start at on end where they sell souvenirs and walk through the tour so you’ll be able to see how the candy is made and you’ll be ending at the candy shop.
If you like wine another place to visit that is great for a group of adult girlfriends is the Pahrump Valley Winery. It is not that far outside of Las Vegas and it’s worth the trip. Along the way you will pass the old biker bar where people stop and put a dollar bill on the walls. Then when you get to the winery you’ll get a tour, be able to test the different wines, and they will even ship a case of wine home for you so you don’t have to worry about putting it in the luggage.
